Looking to connect with people who understand what you’re going through?
You can feel isolated when you’re affected by someone else’s gambling. Talking to people who understand what you’re going through can really help. Connecting with others in a similar situation can help you feel understood, supported, and less alone. It can make a big difference to know you’re not the only one.
The Gambling Help Online forum welcomes anyone affected by another person’s gambling, including family members and friends, to join our supportive online community. It’s a space where you can focus on your own wellbeing, get support during a challenging time, and learn ways to look after yourself while also supporting someone in their recovery. The forum is moderated by trained staff, helping keep the space safe, respectful, and supportive for everyone.
Our community is made up of almost 14,000 Australians. It can be a great place to start getting help – or it can provide additional support for people involved in other forms of help. It’s available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The forum is great for sharing stories, setbacks, experiences and support. People can keep track of how they’re doing, be inspired and motivated by others, and find strategies that have worked for others or share what has worked for them. The forum is facilitated by counsellors, though we prefer to take a back seat in the conversation. We want this to be a space where people find support from their peers. But we occasionally post, encouraging our members to bounce ideas off us or ask us questions. We’re just here to provide support!
