The 100 Day Challenge has moved to Gambling Help Online, making it easier for people to access support in one trusted place. By bringing the challenge across to our website, we can offer more than just a forum. You now have access to a wider range of free and confidential support options alongside the 100 Day Challenge. All available online, 24/7, from anywhere in Australia.

If you’ve been part of the 100 Day Challenge before, you can continue your experience with us through our dedicated 100 Day Challenge forum group. The group is available through our community platform, and allows you to connect with others, share your progress, and receive guidance from people who understand gambling harm.

What is the 100 Day Challenge?

The 100 Day Challenge is a practical, supportive program for anyone who wants to change their relationship with gambling. Over 100 days, you are encouraged to explore 100 alternative recreational activities, helping reduce gambling harm and replace it with healthier ways to spend time.

Originally developed by Gambler’s Help and shaped with input from professionals, the challenge is flexible and personalised. You can set your own goals, access advice, discover new activities, and connect with others taking part. Whether your aim is to cut back, take a break, or stop gambling altogether, the challenge helps you take practical steps to reduce harm at your own pace.

Did you know?

  • Around 1 in 25 moderate‑risk gamblers and 1 in 5 people experiencing problem gambling have sought help for issues related to their gambling (Global prevalence of help‑seeking for problem gambling: A systematic review and meta‑analysis).
  • Many of the barriers to help-seeking are manifestations of stigma: denial, embarrassment, pride and shame are just a few.
  • People who want to change but aren’t ready to seek formal help may benefit from actions they can manage at a personal level which reinforce the positives of not gambling.

How to take part in the 100 Day Challenge
